Happy St. Patrick's Day

We love St. Patricks Day around here. What's not to love about it? The green, the good Irish food, Aunt Emily's birthday, the great conversations with family, all make for an excellent holiday.

Saturday, my dear husband decided he was going to cook up a delicious traditional Irish stew for the family. I made some green punch with a little lime sherbert added in for good measure, and he whipped up some scrumptious cheddar drop biscuits. I think it was the best stew that I have ever had. Hands down. The only difference in the recipe is that he used beef instead of lamb. Poppy and Ben came up, and Emily and Alice came over. Leah made a chocolate cake for Em's birthday, and we all just had a great time together. Katelyn and Emma loved playing with "Uncle" Joel. Aunt Amy really enjoyed loving on sweet Alice.

So "Top o' the Morning to ya"! I hope you all have a great day and don't get pinched!
