This map shows all of China. We will start our trip in Beijing for a couple of days. We will do sightseeing (Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City) and hopefully get over some of our jet lag. Then we fly to Nanjing in the Jiangsu Province to get Emma Mei. We stay there for about a week, and then fly to Guangzhou to complete the US part of the adoption process.
This map is part of the Jiangsu province. Emma is in Yixing (pronounced ee sheeng). We will go to Nanjing to get her as it is the capitol of her province. Our China consultant said that she thought we would really like Nanjing. It is right by the Yangzte River. Yixing is down by the big lake in the middle (Tai Lake). It is supposedly only an hour and a half to two hours away from Nanjing. We are hoping that we will be able to go visit the orphanage while we are there.

I love her room! The picture of the girl in the big frame is so cute! It is totally hard to believe they told Michiganders not to get out. I'm going to check out the map a little closer. Very interesting stuff.
