Last Friday the 9th, I asked if we could get an updated height and weight on Emma Mei. On Thursday, our consultant e-mailed us with the update.
They said that she is 30.8 inches long and 24.2 lbs. I figured that she may be bundled up, because it is winter and she may not have just had her diaper changed. That could make up a couple of pounds. We could be surprised and she will be a chubby little girl. Her height is off the Chinese charts for her age. In comparison, Katelyn at 15 months old was 30.25 inches long and 21 lbs. According to size charts, Emma may still be in 12-18 month clothes. We'll have to wait and see to be sure!
It was exciting to get the update, but a little sad to see that she has been growing up without us. I just wanted to get on a plane to go get her right then!!I have been working on our packing list. I started putting things together and taking them out of the packaging. Before I compiled it, the entire bed was covered in Target bags. Lovely, huh! I didn't get a before picture, but I did take a pic of the remaining pile.

What are some of the things in the pile you say???
- Metal thermos
- Bottle liners
- Tongs
- All kinds of over-the-counter meds for adults, children, & infants (Sudafed, Pepto, Immodium, baby motrin, children's motrin, etc...)
- Gifts for the caretakers and our travel guides
- Chocolates for the Civil Affairs office
- Thermometer
- Gerber baby snacks
- Baby nail clippers
- Clorox wipes--ya never know when you might need them!
- Wet wipes for our hands
- Flushable toilet wipes (thought they might come in handy with the squatty potties--if you don't know what that is, just use google images to search for them)
- Halls cough drops
- Bottle brush
- Powdered pedialyte packets
- Travel adapters for electronics
- Luggage locks that are TSA approved
- Aquaphor
- Diaper Rash cream
- Medicine dispensers
- Etc, etc, etc. . .
