Snow Angels in the Basement

And no there isn't a picture. I was laughing too hard.

We have this little soft pink kid chair that I use for taking pictures. You've probably seen pictures of Emma in it at some point on the blog. Anyways, it was dirty, and I decided that the cover needed to be washed. Well, at some point the inside form which is made of thick foam had broken down in the seat, and the little round "beans" which look like tiny ghost poop had leaked between the cover and the foam. They were just kind of floating around in there. I get the big idea to tackle this thing with a big garbage bag to catch the escaped ghostie poop and wash the cover. They have lots and lots of static cling. I was doing good until the bag slipped and yes, there were little styrofoam "beads" everywhere. Emma decided to seize the moment. In an instant, she was running through it, throwing it in the air, and laying in it to make snow angels. All the while yelling, "Snow, snow!" and "I making snow angel!". It was spread from one end of the big family room to the other. I was cracking up, and Josh is sitting there telling me how he is NOT going to help me out of this one! Well, he did end up helping, and we were able to rake most of the poopies into the garbage bags and put the garbage bags directly into the styrofoam chair form. The rest I was vacuuming when Katelyn came in and immediately sees a craft opportunity in the making. She starts gathering her own bag to do "stuff" with. I ended up duck taping the hole down really really good (duck tape will fix anything!), and cleaned the cover. We now have a much sturdier and clean chair! And, we had fun with it to boot!!! For now, I convinced Katelyn that the beads make good "bubbles" for her Barbie bathtub. I even glued some to the side to make them look real. I was pretty impressed with myself. So what she doesn't use for her crafts will be Barbie bubble bath!

PS. I just realized that I spelled "duck" tape wrong in my hurry! Ha, ha! It's duct. I knew that. At least I didn't call it "goose tape" as a friend used to say when going to the hardware store to look for it.
