Coming out of my hole. . .

I thought I would poke my head out and post, since I have shamefully neglected my blog lately.

No LID yet. The agency is hoping to receive it along with group 117 referrals, which are long overdue. We are group 128. If the rumors from Spain are true, groups 117, 118, & 119 will all receive their referrals next week. The rumor is that they are sending out referrals w/ LIDs up to May 12th. This would include 118 & 119 as they have a LID of May 10 & May 9th. That still leaves us 9 months behind, but we can always hope that the CCAA starts catching up again or does a couple of groups in one month.

Anyways, last week, I was down with the flu, but am feeling much better now. No one else in my family seems to have contracted this nastiness--which is good.

Last Saturday, a friend of mine and my sister-in-law hosted a jewelry party in order to raise money for our adoption. Her friend, who is a Premier Jewelry consultant, is an adoptive mom to 3 siblings from Russia. She did this party for us, and donated all of her profits from the party to our adoption. Another lady from church also donated her profits from selling Partylite candles and she will donate her profits from the 5 people's shows that were booked that day!! We are really overwhelmed by the generosity of others. So many people came together to make the party happen. The party was a success in that we raised a little money and a whole lot of awareness of the adoption process. That in itself is exciting. Thank you to all those that made it possible. . .

A couple of pictures from Christmas to appease the family. . .
