Happy Birthday, sweet Emma Mei!

You have been a part of our family for just shy of 4 months, and yet it seems like you have been with us always.  You wake up almost every morning with a smile on your face, and you are always excited to see what the day may bring.  You bring so much joy to our hearts and our home.   We are so blessed to be your Mama, Baba, and Jie Jie.  It is so fun to watch you as you discover and learn new things every day. 

• You say so many words now.  You will repeat almost anything we ask you to say.  Katelyn thinks that it is fun game to see what bizarre words she can get you say. 



• You are so much more cuddly with us now.  You will snuggle in on our laps and get in as close as you can. 



• You know what you want, and you are usually pretty good at getting it! 



• You can give buzzes on our tummies, and then you will grab our hair to help us give you a buzz on your tummy. 



• You love to romp on the floor with us, and you will sometimes push on me to get me to lay down on the floor so that you can climb on me. 



• You are getting good at climbing--a little too good for your own safety! 



• After you have had your night-night bottle, you will sit up and say "Tee, tee" because you love to go brush your teeth.



• After you brush your teeth you will immediately say "Nigh-nigh" and start puckering up to give your night-time kisses.



• You love all kinds of music, and will start waving your hands and dancing if you really like a tune.  You were really excited when we were in a bathroom and a Johnny Cash song came on.  You were cracking me up! 



• If Baba is playing the guitar, you always want to help. 



• At church, you will get excited when you hear the music and start bouncing up and down.  Sometimes you yell for Baba while he is leading the music. 



• You love your baby Stella doll and ask for her if she is not in your bed at nap and at night. 



• You love the silky part of your white blanket.  You really love the little soft blanket that I got at the craft fair for when we are out as one entire side of it is silky fabric.  It may replace your blanket as a favorite. 



• You can make the sounds for cow, bird, dog, cat, and monkey.  We are working on adding to your repertoire!



• You and your friend Isabella had a great time standing at the window and barking at the dog across the street when you were visiting her house.



• You get excited and nervous all at the same time when you see a cat or a dog.  Your body just wiggles with excitement, but you want me to help you pet them. 



• You take your shoes and socks off every time we get in the car.  It might get a little cold for you when it starts snowing this winter. 



• You love water of any kind.  It doesn't matter whether it is from a faucet or a pool.



• You even love the spray bottle that we use to fix Katelyn's hair, and you will spray yourself in the face. 



• You are starting to play more independently for short periods of time.  You love the pretend kitchen, and lately, you love the stacking cups, especially knocking them down! 



• You love fruit of any kind and will eat it all day.  Bananas, apples, oranges, peaches, watermelon, grapes, you love them all!



• Your smile lights up a room, and your giggle is like music to our ears.

We love you so much Emma Mei Yi Shan Fisher!  Happy, happy 2-year old birthday to you!!!!
