First Day of First Grade

Katelyn is a big first grader now! She did so good this morning. She got up on her own before her alarm went off, got dressed, and got all of her lunch out of the refrigerator and put it in her lunch box. I don't expect the same results all the time, but it was nice for the first day! I bought her a new organizer for her clothes with the days of the week on the little cubbies. We picked out all of her clothes for the week so that she can just grab them and put them on. The alarm clock is a new thing too. Katelyn had a good day, and she seems to like her new teacher. So the first day of first grade is a success!!

Wow! Great job on yours and Katelyn's part. Madelyn is in the 6th grade this year and she has always been the one to get up first, usually she is getting me up!! So maybe this is Katelyn's nature:). Madelyn likes to get up over one hour before the bus comes, but I tell her I don't need that much time to get ready, so wake me up a little later!! We would sure love to send a little something for your girls, however I have no idea what to send. If you get a minute please send me an email with some things they like and sizes they wear etc. We have so enjoyed your website and keeping up with all of you.

Amy - Do you think you could come and organize my house for me? I think I need to get one of those cubbies for my clothes - I hate figuring that out in the morning, I have to do it the night before. Neil enjoys making fun of me as I stare into my closet each evening waiting for something "new and exciting" to jump out at me. In fact one night, he surprised me by jumping out at me and saying "I'm new and exciting"! Anyway... Way to go for the first day of school Katelyn! Keep it up!
