This past weekend some very kind and gracious friends helped us have a benefit spaghetti dinner held at our church. After the dinner, there was a concert with our own Carolyn Gregg opening. Josh closed out with some great songs with the praise band. It was a time to give the praise to God for all he has done in our lives.
It was a wonderful evening, and we are so grateful to each and every person that took the time to help and participate. Josh and I were in complete awe of how many people came out to support us. It is humbling to know that people care so much for us. The encouragement alone was huge, but we were also able to raise about $2600 for our travel expenses to go to China. A special thank you to Rhonda for organizing the whole thing, Bertha for taking care of all the food, Carolyn for singing, and Greg V for being the MC!
My mom, aunt Jackie, and aunt Kim came up for the weekend. We had a great time visiting, playing LCR (gotta love the chicken dance), drinking hot apple cider, and eating yummy stuff dipped in chocolate fondue! Of course Katelyn always wins the most in LCR. Kim and I were the only ones that didn't win a round. Poor us, huh, especially since we provided the money to get started with! If you don't know what that game is, you should look it up sometime--it's fun! Katelyn and Jackie got a head start on Easter and dyed a few eggs. Of course we had to throw a little shopping in there, and no trip is complete without going to Target and Costco.
No word yet on a travel notice, but I am so ready to go. Now.

Nice post....and your last two sentences said it all! NOW!! At the end of my pregnancy with Seth (the last couple weeks before due date and after the due date), Ken told Josh there were things getting cleaned in our house that have never been cleaned before, boxes gone through that hadn't been touched in years, etc.....it's good you're scrapbooking to make good use of your time. Hang in there-it's GOT to come SOON!!!!!!!
