I went with Katelyn on her first field trip this morning. We went to Nelson's Farmers Market, to the orchard & pumpkin patch. It was quite fun and she had a great time! They picked out their class pumpkin--a nice tall one. I will post pictures tomorrow.
They learned about apples, pet all the animals, ate doughnut holes and drank cider. It was a beautiful morning and quite warm for October. We sang "Wheels on the Bus" and a few other songs on the way there in the big yellow school bus. Her partner was a cute curly-haired girl named Paula.
I am sure there will be many more field trips to enjoy, but this was the first. Her next one is a bowling field trip in January. Should be fun, huh? A bunch of 5-year olds are going bowling!!
Not much happening on the adoption front right now. Thanks to Mom and Jackie, our Kentucky documents are authenticated and ready to go to Washington D.C. Hopefully we receive our home study soon, because it could take a while to get our I171-H from immigrations. That is going to be the big one we will be waiting on for sure. It all hinges on how fast it comes back: anywhere from 30-90 days. Lately, they have been coming in at about 8 weeks. We'll see how it goes.
